Do You Live in the Present Moment?
Many everyday tasks and duties like, eating, doing the dishes, showering, and cleaning, we do automatically. Our minds are powerful and they take care of what is needed without us needing to pay much attention to them. This leads us to function in the world, but not be in the present. Our mind does everything for us and our thoughts and mental stories are able to continue without stopping. The body is in the moment doing everyday things and our mind is a thousand miles away. We are eating our lunch and our minds are planning what to have for dinner, or how to get away from work early, or thinking about the fight we had with a loved one the night before. Learning to bring yourself into the present moment will bring peace and happiness.
