Our Mind Can Be Our Worst Enemy
Our mind loves to worry, want, and judge ourselves and others, like “if only” we or they had done this life would be better. Our minds love to go to past events and rejudge and replay or try to change what happened. Our mind creates our sense of self and who we are, or believe we are.
We are trying to protect ourselves and figure out what happened and how we can fix the past or change the future through “if only” we had better job, better relationship, more money or the thousands of other things that could make our lives better and happier.
Rather than helping us, our busy mind may create more problems for us. Our mind can be our worst enemy. Many of us have more difficulty with our minds than all of our everyday problems combined. Through meditation we can see and understand our mind and let go of issues that are not needed.
