Let Go of Negative Emotions
Holding onto and making more of negative emotions is not who we are. We may have feelings of sadness, worry, fear, and anger and feel we need to hold onto those feelings to protect ourselves. Emotions and moods should easily come and go. They were part of our ancient ancestors who used them to know when danger and opportunities were around.
Another good mental check is to see what your mind, emotions, and body are up too. Are you relaxed or stressed? Is your body filled with pain or is it pain free? Is your mind busy or ready to focus? Can you be watchful or are there too many issues floating around? Is your mind lost in difficulties or is it clear enough to easily be aware and focused? If you can watch, see, and understand what is up with your mind, you will have an opportunity to see your options and pick the best choices for happiness.
